Finale Top Model Europe

My name is Yendrel Arias Mena, I am 25 years old, I was born and raised in Helmond. My parents are both from the Dominican Republic. At the age of 17 I started modeling. In the beginning the requests were very minimal, but as I started posting more on social media more and more fun and interesting assignments came in. The more often I had a shoot, the more interesting I found the work. This is not just my hobby, this is my passion! The people around me have told me more often that they see potential in me to grow within the modeling world.
My girlfriend thinks that I should grow internationally, so she decided to sign me up in May 2020 for the famous international modeling competition Top Model Europe. Unfortunately, due to Corona, things did not go so smoothly. A long time has passed, but fortunately in September 2021 we were able to go to France for a week with the 5 finalists. Here we were able to attend various shoots and training sessions. I am used to posing for the camera, but during this trip I learned how to present myself during a runway walk. This was new to me and very challenging. I learned a lot and notice that I actually apply this knowledge in my further shoots.
The grand finale will take place on May 29 in the European capital of Brussels. A total of 25,000 people applied for this event, During the competition, 25 candidates per category were selected for the finals. There are 5 men, including me as the only Dutchman finalist in the category of sports models 2021-2022. Previous winners have walked shows for the likes of Dolce&Gabbana, Balmain, John Galliano, tommy Hilfiger, Jean-Paul Gautier and many more. The finalists in the sports model category will participate in the fashion show where the winner will be announced who will travel to the Dominican Republic. Here, the winner will participate in the world final of the biggest competition for sports models.
