Alexander is a MMA fighter who has great victories to his name. It was him who gave the current Light Heavyweight Champion (ending 2019), Jon Jones, a hard time during their MMA-fight. Jon Jones confirmed to the media that Gustafsson challenged him unlike any previous opponent.
It all started when he was around 10 years old with boxing, before he stated Mixed Martial Arts in 2006. At a young age he already had his successes. Winning the Youth Junior Level, National Championship from Sweden was certainly one of the highlights.
His boxing career ended when he signed for the UFC in 2009. Gustafsson belongs to the top of the UFC, especially in the light heavyweight division. Next to Jones he stood in the cage to fight against respected fighters like Manuwa, Johnson and Cormier. At August 5, 2019, he is #6 in authority UFC light heavyweight rankings.
Gustafsson recently declared his retirement, but that is not the end of it. There is already talk that he will make his come back in the UFC. Keep an eye on “the Mauler” one of the best UFC Light Heavyweight fighters of all time.
